My dog was trying to eat a baby northern flying squirrel two nights ago, and I rescued it. It is about 6-7 weeks old (I think) and we feed it the correct type of milk (esbilac powdered goats milk for puppies) and I was just wondering why it twitches. It just randomly twitches. Mostly when it is sleeping or snuggling, but he will do it when he's awake too. I'm pretty concerned because other than that it's doing great. No injuries (that I know of) and it goes to the bathroom fine. ( on it's own) I use a heating pad and little socks filled with uncooked rice to keep it warm, when I hold it I usually put it in a blanket. I love this little guy and I would hate to see him suffer/die. Is this normal? Please give me some advice!
Much thanks
Question from "Flying Squirrel", advice welcome :thumbsup

I thank all babies twitch from time to time.. Bad dreams, loud noise, or even a draft can cause them to twitch as long as it is not a continuous twitch I don't think you have anything to worry about.. FYI flying squirrels vibrate almost feels like they are purring just thought I would add that sometimes it can look like a twitch..:grin3 I hope this is helpful and good luck with the new baby..:grin2
