I just took a chipmunk away from my cat. The tail is raw. Her back leg may be afftected as well. I washed the tail and yes her teeth work very well.
I have a 9 week old male grey I'm overwintering and a 7 month old male red fox who is a nr.
What do I do to help her (I think it's a female)?

I would think that an antibiotic may be in order due to the cat saliva. I am not sure if it is different than squirrels, but a weight will be needed one way or the other.

59 grams is her weight.

Do you have any antibiotic on hand and if so, what is it and what is the strength?

I have amoxycillin 400mg and SMZ TMP 40mg liquid.
Most of her tail is just bone, the fur is gone.
This little lady keeps biting me. How do I handle her without getting injured?

Here is little Hannah. She took her medicine pretty well. I think she is in shock.244585244585

Can you put her container on a heating pad set on low so that it is under only half of the container? Shock makes it hard for them to keep their body warm without an outside source of heat. Many prayers going out for that little dollie...:grouphug:Love_Icon:grouphug

Can you put some fleece in with her too?
She does look scared, poor baby.
Thank you for helping her. :Love_Icon

I found little Hannah when I got home. She was cold and breathing very shallow. I tried to warm her up.
She passed away while I was holding her. I kissed her and told her she was loved and to find me at the bridge.
Godspeed my sweet little Hannah. Our time together was too short.

Thank you to everyone for the advice.

It hurts like hell to lose one, however, I will always keep trying.

Sometimes all we can do is warm them and show them love before they cross. You did that for certain. So very sorry for your loss...:grouphug:Love_Icon:grouphug
