Can you send me some pics of the squirrel cages you are currently using and beddings and cleaning suggestions.
Also, if I am going to keep these guys for a couple more months I want to make sure they are eating the proper foods.

What are the BEST fruits veggies and nuts.
(obviously they love sunflower seeds and peanut butter).

I give apples and avocado's, apple sauce cheerios, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds and cashews. No shells and no skins
Carrots, squash, sweet potato raw, zucchini, spinach.

I was trying to mix in cat and dog food (hi-protein Purina dog chow) but they never seemed to eat it.
I also bought the local store brand wild bird and squirrel feed. (black sunflower seeds and corn).

Also - where can you get unsalted nuts. Even the peanuts and sunflower seeds I found at the grocery store have salt on them???

Are they allowed to have peppers (bell peppers) orange and yellow?
Are they allowed to have whole coconut?

Tomato's, cucumbers, apples, bananas, strawberries, raisins canned corn, frozen vegetables, .....
Dried fruits (trail mixes), salted nuts, peanut butter, bread, white, wheat, etc.....

(just things I have in the house in addition to the bird and nut seed and cheerios I am giving them)

Thanks,
JS

Just replied to this in your release thread. Keep in mind that this is the order of importance when it comes to diet.
1. Formula-as long as they will take it.
2. Blocks-Henry's Healthy Blocks are the best but you can add others in just for extra.
3. Good fresh veggies.
4. Fruit occasionaly
5. Nuts 1-2 per day is fine but this should not be the basis of their diet.

Add 3-5 only after blocks are being eaten consistently otherwise you will have picky eaters who won't eat the good stuff they need in favor of "desserts" of fruit and nuts. It's just like feeding a toddler and sometimes requires a little tough love. They may hold out for a day or two but they will not starve themselves.

What about canned chicken, canned tuna, baby food, green beans?
I have baby cans of chicken and gravy, carrots, pears, banana, apple, green beans, sweat potato....

Yogurt, applesauce...

Anything they SHOULD NOT eat?
