I now have a problem with my little 7 pack that has had diarrhea for over a day now. They are about 5 wks old and I screwed up by trying monkey biscuits in there with them. I use heavy whipping cream in their formula so they were quite heavy to begin with but now they are losing weight and I have had them on probiotics and pedialyte for the last 3 feedings. Ive tried working it out myself but apparently that doesnt do to well cuz I just lost a baby to pneumonia. Please help.

Ok - first thing first.
What formula are you feeding them?
How much do they weigh and how often are you feeding them?

They weigh 100g to 120g and I feed them esb. w/probiotics and probiotics mixed with that. Now there is only a couple of them left with diarrhea. Most of them are done. Just a couple of them are stubborn!

I would pull the cream out and make sure your feeding only 5%. Of the body weight.
Switch pedilyte for home made water and just enigh sugar to make it tastey. Give thos between feedings.
Check back in 24. I dont think ots the biscuits bit it could be too much too fst

Yes, you can give that if it continues - two drops from a 1cc syringe every two hours.
Can you tell me how much formula you are feeding & how many hours in between?

You should be feeding 6cc every 5 hours at this age and weight........ is this what you have been doing?
and --leave the heavy cream out (over feeding will cause diarrhea) --stretch the feedings out more

Ive left the heavy cream out and are you saying to go to every 5 hrs? I want to be very clear. Also should they be all back on full strength milk or should it be watered down.

Are these babies eyes open?
I am thinking maybe if you switched them from the Esbilac to FV their poops will firm up. I am having the same issue with 2 of my kids and coincidently they are just a few days older to maybe a week than yours and have been on straight Esbilac. They were doing great and all of a sudden the poop went all wonky on me.

If only it were that easy. I am vol. for MSWLRH. They provide all of my formulas and I doubt the entire org. would switch milk just for me. I went out and bought some baby immodium to try and I also bought some pumpkin and yogurt but just realized that was for the opposite effect. I was following a thread by unikorn girl which I just now noticed is banned. oops but what do you think of the immodium?

Immodium might stop the runny poops, but it will NOT fix the problem.
So what about the organization. These are your kids, in your care, and you are dealing with the poops and the constant cleaning and the laundry. Buy a bag of your own formula, see if the change works and if it does go back and tell the organization what you did and why you did it and that it worked.
I'm assuming the organization gave them to you to care for to the best of your ability and to raise, right? Buy a bag of the FV and get the job done.

If they are 4 weeks old they can eat their formula full strength (no cream) at 5% weight every 4 hours
Good Luck -

I have them no cream, full strength, monkey biscuits, immodium, and homemade ringers (I have hospital ringers too if that would be better).

Back to the drawing board. Ive recently discovered that most of my problem with them is suckling. Ive seperated my 7 pack and discovered that most of them mess is from urination. I have 2 squirrels that are really bad about sucking on each other and Ive resorted to breaking up the pack. Ive been constantly stimulating them but apparently not for long enough. Ive also been using Thum on them and that still hasnt stopped them from suckling each other. But Im trying the immodium and water so Ill let you know how they are tomorrow. Thank you for all your help. I had nowhere else to turn to but you. Thank you again.
