I have a possible NR with malocclusion issues and possible neuro issues that I need to find a new home for soon. She is about 4.5 or 5 weeks old and her eyes are still closed but should open very soon. She is tiny and weighs only 48 grams while her siblings weigh 84 and 86 grams. Her brother opened his second eye today.
On intake she came in with severe bruising to her head and jaw line along with ant bites. She is currently on the new Esbilac with heavy whipping cream.
I can drive some to meet someone and would prefer she go to a legal state or at least to someone who has access to squirrel friendly vet care.
At this point due to frequent extended traveling during the winter months I am not able to offer her the stability that she will need. The risk of taking her through unfriendly states and possibly risking seizure is just not one I am willing to take except to get her to her new home.
If you feel that you could offer her a furever home and fulfill all her needs please send me a PM.
I would need to find her a new home before the end of October at the latest. Due to her young age I feel that getting her settled and adjusted to her new home sooner would be in her best interest.
You can see pics of Little Louise in this thread.

:bump :dono What a doll :grouphug If I didn't already have Baby, Nougie and Poppy I'd take her in a heartbeat :hug This will probably be the ideal NR situation ..because she will start out at a very young age being handled...having her teeth trimmed...it will be a normal part of her life :dono she won't know any difference:Love_Icon and maybe, just maybe, it will correct it's self....although, her misalignment looks severe (to me) either way she has a great chance at a good life :thumbsup (thanks to you) come on "somebody" :w00t

Me too! She has been one of the toughest I have ever dealt with and I have always fell for runts. She did great at the last feeding. It was the first time she has put her paws on the nipple flange, pushed against it and settled into a rhythmic sucking. I was so proud of her and gave her lots of kisses. She still does better when I sing to her. :tilt

:bliss:bliss:bliss Little Louise has a new home!!! Czarina will be her new squammy and I am confident she will be spoiled rotten and receive all the care that her special needs require. She will only be about 3 hours away so she won't have to endure a super long trip. My :Love_Icon is so happy but at the same time it's still going to be hard to say goodbye to her, but it's what is best for her and that is all that matters.

I am soooo excited. I think this was meant to be. I remember reading in nursery, about Little Louise not readily taking the nipple, but eating once the nipple was in her mouth, and I sent positive thoughts and prayers to her.
Everthing fits:
Geographicly we are close
I have 2 great vets who are squirrel friendly
I stopped working,( so I can be home with Churtle, I know, I am so owned!)
I have a lot of neuro experience
I love shopping for squirrel goodies
And, I am very excited to have her in my family.:Love_Icon:Love_Icon:Love_Icon:Love_Icon:Lo ve_Icon

I truly believe that some things are just meant to be. I am so glad she won't be too far away but I know you will keep all of us updated on her wonderful new life. I'll miss her tons! Amazing how something so tiny can worm it's way right into your :Love_Icon so fast. I take great comfort in knowing you have the skills and resources to provide for her. It means sooo much!

That's it! I know she is going to be totally spoiled rotten by her new squammy. It's tough being so happy and a little sad at the same time but I know that the most important thing is her quality of life and I know she will have a wonderful one with Czarina.
