I would love everyone's opinion on this little one.
Appeared to be abandoned 8/30/14, so about eleven days ago, alone. No other litter mates. Her head seemed out of proportion to her body. Eyes open, well, one was open, the other opened a few minutes later. She was thin with no body fat and mildly dehydrated. She weighed 1.6 ounces or about 45 grams. Teeny little thang.
On 9/3 she weighed 2.6 ounces or 74 grams.
On 9/8 she weighed 3.3 ounces or 93 grams.

If the eyes open around five weeks and had just opened, then she was 45 grams at five weeks.I've had her for a week and half so that should put her at least around six and a half weeks old and 93 grams. Is she small or is it just me? If so, will this cause future problems? Could she be a Downs baby? Her weight gain look adequate?

She is on FV 20/50. Thriving. No digestive issues. Can latch on onto the Miracle Nipple with no problems. Loves to eat! Sleeps a lot but has active periods. She jumps around and climbs. Appears she can maintain her temperature (but is on a heating pad) . Shes curling her tail over her back. Super friendly. Her legs look thin and long?

Size wise- she can still go into a cardboard TP... Normal?

Opinions??

I apologize if the photos are to large. Three photos are from the first day and the other three are of her now.

Photos 1, 5 and 6 are from day one. The uploaded out of order. The one with the TP holder and the two in my hands with the creme colored walls, are from the last two says.
The two with my daughter holding her ( pink gown) and the first photo with the hips showing, are day one.

She looks normal to me...as far as downs goes. She just needs for her body to catch up with her head...LOL Good nutrician will fix that in time.

Other than just being skinny she looks fine to me. Down's babies usually have kitten fur and shorter faces. I don't see that in this one.

You can add some heavy whipping cream to her FV to give her some extra fat and calories. You just have to add it in slowly to allow her tummy time to adjust.
1/4 cup FV powder
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon cream first batch, then add another teaspoon second batch and then a full Tablespoon.

Since you are not using the Esbilac with pre and pro-biotics you could also add a heaping teaspoon of full fat vanilla yogurt to her formula. Yobaby is good or Yoplait Original (red label) or Yoplait Thick and Creamy (orange label). As long as it doesn't have reduced, low or no fat and artificial sweeteners you are good.

Not Downs IMHO, just a wee, little one who will need plenty of nutritious food to help her catch up. She looks like a sweetie! :)

WHAT a cute little bug. Is it just me or are we seeing a whole lot of tiny babies this fall. I have a cage full of babies and half are really small.

I am seeing small babies too. I had two that opened eyes at 32 and 34 grams. They came in severely emaciated but are fat and sassy now. I talked to Uni and she said malnutrition can be one cause of that. Interesting that it's happening a lot this year though.

I have one like that, Newt. His eyes (well one) opened yesterday. He is so little, but getting there. Your little one will catch up. Some are just smaller and slower out of the gate then others. Han was like that, now he is the same size as his big brother, Luke, who is HUGE! lol
