My little guy that is slow to develop just had a seizure and is crawling close to the ground, wanting to remain in a ball. Is there a certain protocol I should follow atm to help him to get back to his old self? I am placing him on heat --he will remain in bed with me while I rest from foot surgery. I have Metacam or Motrin I can give him if you think if will help.

Get some sugar into him - syrup, table, molasses - anything - right in his mouth - he will absorb it through his mucous membranes.

I will have to go with sugar..... I was thinking syrup, but then I remembered ours is sugar free --doing Atkins.

Apollo drank 4 cc of the sugar water right up ..... I will update in a hour or so. Thx.

Seizures also take calcium from their blood -- molasses is good to have for these incidents (works beautifully with Owena) or a crushed-up Tums or calcium tablet in the sugar water. :thumbsup

Thanks IR --The little guy seems to be his old self now ..... runny and jumping as usual.
Hoping this was an one time incident and that I never have to see it again. :Love_Icon

Def, get molasses to keep on hand. It is safer too, because if they are 'out of it' you can rub it on their gums, with no risk of aspirating them.
