I was hoping I would never have to type those words, but it happened. 6pm feeding she won't eat. Tried again at 9 pm nothing. I will continue trying every so often.... She last ate 1.2 cc at 2pm. How long is too long to go without? She weighs 20g and we are doing GM formula and have been for days. When I got her she was 13g. Anyone with experience with this? I hope it will just be a waiting game.
Should I try and give water? And when?
I have tried cool, warm, and very warm temp GM. I have tried different positions. I have tried different nipples and no nipple. Help:hissyfit

Check to see if the baby is dehydrated, not good to feed them if they are, you may need to rehydrate her. At her weight, she is a very young baby and should be fed every 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Are you feeding her every 3 to 4 hours? If so, that is not enough. Only feed very warm, not hot formula and make sure she is warm. Are you stimulating her genitals to help her go potty?

Yes. Every 21/2-3h, she's warm always, giving good urine and poo,I will give water. She has no clicking sound either. I'm really stumped. Maybe she's full? Just wants to sleep. Up until earlier she had been eating every feeding with real gusto. I have a male who is 29g and he always fights the nipple. She has always been an easy feed....

Ok I'm going to dilute her GM some and try again.
I'm back. I got her to take diluted GM, AFTER she was smelling the nipple is what it looked like....three or four times. Weird. Sorry for the false alarm. Will continue to monitor and see what I can see.... Y'all can move this to non emergent.

Is her belly hard (bloated)? If so, you need to get the bloat down before you feed her, if so, you can use a drop of infant gas-x or similar.

I agree to all advice given always make sure formula is warm like a baby bottle for a baby.. check on ur wrist just the same. never give cool formula it causes bloat and other stuff. bloat is dangerous.. and I was thinking dehydrated also.. and at that size you need to feed through the night.

Yes I have always given warm or warmer GM, never cool. I was just trying that to get her to accept.....something...... I have been diluting down her meals the last two feedings ( in the night) and have gotten her to take more and more each time. She was in bad shape when I got her only 8 days ago....finders were trying to keep themselves and hadn't stimulated her the whole first day, while feeding and feeding her not esbilac. She has gained 8g while with me and I have prayed hard for each gram. I thought she was a goner for sure, but after I finally got her to poop, she started just thriving. Now yesterday this. It was wierd and I hope for her sake its over.
No she has no gas, tummy soft and not round. Milk line is going away, but I just think slow and steady will win the race with her...she is one of those that let you know when she's done eating. Right now she will only take 5%
I have been scouring this site because I've tried everything listed. Just wanted to know how long to either dilute formula or give water?
Also I put karo on her lips and she ate some, and eh nothing immediately so don't think it's low glucose.
