Two babies fed Enfamil for a week

Just got in two babies who have been fed Infant Enfamil for the last week and are not well. Any ideas on how to approach this? I have given their first feeding of sugar water, but want to get them on something that will start to fill their bellies. They have the most disgusting brown gooey poops right now.

They need to be flushed for sure, I know you could give them some ensure, the pecan flavor for some real nutrition before going to formula, also some nutra cal for needed calories. How old are they and how thin?

They look like around 3-4 weeks old and their ribs are showing, although they do have muscle still on their arms and legs, so they are not totally emaciated.

Went through the exact thing with my two boys. After flushing with re-hydration formula I started them out on the GM without cream and gradually switched over to a 3:1 Esbilac, worked them to 2:1 and started adding in cream gradually.

Flushing them is the way to go. You want that crap out of their systems before adding anything else in for their little digestive systems. A few feedings of hydration and then start on the formula you will be feeding that is cut with water to dilute. I would go 50/50 with the prepared formula and water after giving hydration feedings.

(((HUGS))) --You have been given good advice on flushing out the squirrels body before starting him on another formula. Please follow this suggestion then move forward slowly with a diluted formula of your choice and all should be well in a few days..... staying with in the 5-7% feeding rule of the squirrels body weight every 4 hours.
