Today I found two baby squirrels that were blow out of the tree during a severe wind storm last night. They appear to have their back legs broken. I have carefully cleaned them up, put them in a small travel cage covered the bottom with fleece and made fleece blankets for them for warmth. I've also been feeding the via syringe (without a needle) pedialyte every 2-3 hours.
I do have a call in to the KS Wild Life and Parks for help. I would like to know what I can do for them until tomorrow.
Thank you.

I'm about to go to bed but others will help, maybe tomorrow. Here's a link to basic care, pay particular attention to warming them. Babies need heat.

Pics and video can help us understand the leg situation.
You're in a tough spot because I don;t know if we have anyone near you. What I can tell you is that you should make sure with the place you're talking to that they will actually try to help before euthanasia. Ask if you can get updates or something. Many will lie and just kill them because sqs aren't worth the time.

Thank you. Sadly to say, the one little fella just crossed over the rainbow bridge. The other little one is still hanging in there. I just gave him about 2cc's of pedialyte. Tomorrow first thing I'm heading to the Vets office to get some Esbilac. I hope that he will be alright until then.

If you don't have a heating pad to place half under the container then a rice buddy (sock filled with uncooked rice) microwaved for a minute or a bottle of warm water wrapped in a t-shirt will work. Just be sure to squish the rice buddy around to avoid any hot spots.
Sorry to hear about the little one.

Linda, how often are you giving it? I replied on your post on FB. I am so sorry about the little ones' passing, praying the other can hang on.

Hi Mary, Connie gave me your phone # last night. Will call you today, if that's alright. What a small world. So glad to hear from you.
I'm feeding this little one 2cc's every two hours. Heading out to the Vet to get some formula. I hope this little one makes it. He's not very active this morning.
Will catch up with you later.

Linda, I am going to be out today, picking up and transporting some babies. If you can get some Esbilac, with pre and probiotics, that will be good. You can get it at Petco. I can call you back when I get in, it will be later afternoon sometime.
Wonderful people here will help you! Does the surviving one have a broken limb or was it just the one who passed? Do you have him on low heat now?

Thank you, Mary. I just returned from the Vets with him. He does have a cracked foot, still in mild trauma. I picked up some Esbilac. I have him in a fleece pouch, covered with more fleece. He's in a travel cage and in a room that's quiet and warm.
Hoping that he will pick up more through the day.
You have a safe trip.
Thanks again, Mary. Love Ya.
