Has anyone had experience with an approx 8 week old (correct me if the age is wrong) who suddenly doesn't want to drink hardly any formula? I added the rodent blocks to his diet last week which he will eat, along with any other fruit or vegetable (especially loves watermelon) but almost will put on a fight when I try to get him to drink formula. Drank fine before the rodent blocks and food were added? Should I be worried?241902

Good to have them or formula for as long as possible, but some refuse early. Have you tried it in a dish?

I had been told that some will refuse once solids are introduced or will naturally cut down around 10 weeks. That has not been my experience though.

I agree with Farelli.. have you tried a dish?

I just recently stopped hand feeding my biggins. There is one that refused to use the dish. Eventually she did. But I gave her a hand feeding at night. And I still hand feed the one that is a bit smaller ( younger) 3x a day but she has access to the dish as well. I have aprox ten weeker, two 8 weekers, and a seven weeker.

Free water is available at all times.

I try to make him take at least 2 syringe fills twice a day with the formula. But at the same time do you guys prefer bowls of water or the water bottles... I hate that he is a single to.

I hope someone with more experience can chime in but...

I have a bowl with water and a water bottle available. Mine prefer the bowl of water. At milk time I put in the milk into the water bowl. They drink their fill. Then the either eat some stuff or play.

I think the bowl is more natural and will help them find water in puddles and any dish you may water outdoor squirrels with.

I saw one if mine use the water bottle ONE time.

I use both.
