PWP, do you have any antibiotics? One pill is enough. If you don't I would start calling around to friends and family and try to find an antibiotic. The best ones are Ciprofloxacin, Baytril (for animals), Amoxicillin or Augmentin (Clavamox). Please let us know what you have. There are people here that can give you instructions on dosing.
It is imperative that you find antibiotics. Sorry, I am leaving now so I won't be on. Keep bumping your thread if no one answers soon. Good luck with your baby.

One other suggestion ... PetsMart and PetSuperMarket and probably other pet retailers sell a few antibiotics for fish aquariums. I checked them out. They sell a triple Sulfa antibiotic (I don't remember the name). The human equivalent is Septra, Bactrim or SMZ-TMP. It's not the best for pneumonia but in a pinch, it might work. It's definitely better than nothing.

If you have any friends with aquariums check and see if they have Fish Flox. Most of the big chain pet stores don't carry it but a small independent shop might have it in stock. It is Cipro. Best wishes for the little one.

PWP, any update on Twig?
I lost him about an hour ago.. contacted a rehabber in my area.. took him to her.. she have me everything I need including a new nipple and syringes to help correct the issue.. he was gasping as his next meal.. I help him and a friend was with me.. I was shaking like a leaf.. I feel.like I failed him... it happened so fast...I'm teeing to forget ...but he took a piece with him.. now focusing on the girls and laid him to rest.. good news is I'm legal now.. I'm a.volunteer under Sheryl.. she was very helpful and very appreciative of my help.. I feel like even though I lost him thus it's my calling and what I'm meant to do..for him.. learning cost him his life.. I can't stop feeling like it was.my fault.. I have had them 2 weeks.. and my hearts broken.. but more babies will need me.. thanks everyone for your continued support...

Perhaps his job while here on Earth was to get you to Sheryl. You did that and that meant his job was done so he was free to go home forever. Maybe just a different way of looking at it, ya know. :grouphug
Rest well Twig. :Love_Icon

PWP, I'm so sorry that you lost Twig. :sad I know that feeling all too well. I lost my first baby also. I just rips your heart in two.
The problem with aspiration pneumonia is that it DOES come on so fast and in a matter of hours they can pass. I'm really sorry.
I'm glad you found a rehabber to work with. She can mentor you and help you. Stay here with us too because there is so much to learn. It's how I learned.
If we can help with the baby sisters don't hesitate to ask.

:grouphug Sorry you lost Twig. I lost my first one too and I will never forget it. At least now you have the support you need and the desire in your :Love_Icon to help these beautiful creatures. We can't save them all, but without us they would have no chance.

I am sorry too. I am glad you talked to her. She sounded really nice on the phone when I spoke with her about these pinkies. I can't wait to meet her.
One of these ladies here has a tag line.. Don't cry cause its over.. smile because it happened. What a great opportunity you have had to nurture him for this time and you gave him.
And now.. you are legit and will be able to help more in the future.
I am sorry for your loss.
I personally have found that age to be harder to work with than the tiny pinkies.
Thanks everyone.. and heat way of looking at the positive side of things milo's mom.. gives me a lil piece that he had a purpose..
