So, I have Jane on a 50/50 FV/Esbilac formula now and she has grown exponentially, however, her hair growth is still subpar. The hair on her tail looks great but everywhere else is still pretty thin, and not comparable to squirrels of the same age, and the formula change doesn't seem to make a difference. She still has dry flakey skin, so I'm thinking she has some kind of skin infection because an arid environment doesn't seem to be the culprit.
As of today, 8/16/14, her right eye has opened 75%. I found her on 7/19/14 so I'm going to put her inside of a week when I found her.
Does anyone know of any vets in the Louisville (or nearby) Kentucky area I can take her to that would be sympathetic? All the places I've contacted that have experience with wild exotics are reluctant to help me but very eager to lambaste me for trying to give the best care to an orphan. I'm between a rock and a hard place.
