Sorry-- yeah, I am back.. but has anyone use Grannick's Bitter Apple solution/spray? My lil boy is awesome but has done HORRIFIC damage to my woodwork.. I made a cayenne solution and rubbed it on his fave places, only he seems to LOVE it... If CAYENNE is not a solution, - he FRIGGING LIKES IT!!- what is for chewing?? I have used G's Bitter Apple for dogs- is it safe for squirrels? Friends have suggested Rosemary oil and the like- what is safe though,...
Thanks.

I have known people to use Bitter Apple spray to stop cage biting with rats. Fooey (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=17382 product example only) is another non-toxic spray to deter animals (to include rodents) from chewing on things. It can be safely used on wood and furniture. I have heard of people using vinegar and lemon juice, too, but it might harm your wood.

I've used both Bitter Apple and Fooey. It worked for awhile but then I got a squirrel in that liked it XD

Thanks.. I tried a paste of Cayenne powder like I said and -- He LOVES it..eye roll.. Going for some Bitter Apple today. Someone suggested Rosemary oil, but that scares me if he likes that too.. any other home remedies? He's calmed down on the bad behaviour but I still can't trust him.. any ideas on Rosemary oil?

Pretty sure they can eat fresh rosemary but not sure about the oil. I'm curious, too, as my walls are being stripped lol.
