Michael asked me to post this so that he can have the info as soon as he gets home. He is picking up a 3 week (?) old baby gray who has been fed human formula since Sunday morning. He wanted to know what to do to get him back on track. I told him to flush with fluids in the usual fashion using pedialyte or water for at least several feedings. Anyone have other information that might help?

I think you are right on target, and I would also start with a diluted formula of perhaps 1:3 ratio, depending on the little ones condition. I don't really think this is as critical as it may appear especially if the formula was soy based. Do you know what the formula was?

Got him and started him on Pedilyte. I have another I have to go get in the next few minutes, that is close to death. Taking the Sub-Q stuff because he is bad. His brother, who was found yesterday (another blonde like Dusty) died last night from dehydration.

Edit - I didn't have time to find out about what kind of formula, but the good news is he only ate a little bit. He refused the formula yesterday and only took less than 2cc this morning. Surprisingly he isn't dehydrated after all of this.

This has been a rough week, and we are only 3 days into it for me. I try to look at the positive though, and note that I have saved 15 this week, but the deaths always hurt and take a piece of my heart with them. Thank you all though, for your support. It makes it so much easier to know I have everyone's support, so I am not carrying the burden alone. :grouphug
