One of the babies that Regina took from me has a terrible respiratory infection. Along with the snuffy nose came this swollen eye. The vet gave her SMZ, but I gave her Baytril because it is faster working. She switched him to Baytril, but the eye is getting more swollen and the snuffling is really bad. Any suggestions. I am going to work, but will try to check in periodically.

I think this sounds a lot like what Maura's Coral had and I believe she had her on SMZ. Might want to shoot Maura a PM.:thumbsup

Check the teeth, are they going up into the roof of the mouth?

How long has he been n Baytril now - how many doses? If it is going to work it works FAST.

SM you were right baytril works faster than smz.. I have gave them together before with an older baby, how old is he. plus sometimes it is 3 to 4 days befor you notice improvement.. eyes open?? may need eye atibiotics too..
