Rehabber Needed Near Jackson, Mississippi for 4 baby squirrels

I have been contacted by a mutual friend who is trying to find someone near the Jackson, Mississippi area (Bolton) that can take 4 baby squirrels. I don't have any details on age but they are willing to meet someone. I have my hands full right now. Please let me know if there is someone closer that is able to help out. Thanks in advance.

I do know someone in Mississippi who has rescue experience also has vet tech experience so before I call him p.m. me and let me know if you still need help he is knowledgeable and I'm sure would love to work with more squirrels he mentioned missing the last ones he rehabilitated a while back and how much he wanted to do it again:grin3

The girl who contacted me knows the one who has them and she is trying to contact her right now to see if she was able to find someone today to take them. I will let you know as soon as I hear from her.

I think we have someone in place to get these 4 babies now. The lady who has them is more than ready to turn them over but I think her daughter was a little reluctant to give them up. I have thanked her nicely for taking care of these little ones. Hopefully the man who gets them will come in and keep us updated on their progress.

4 babies is not an easy challenge, especially if
you aren't familiar with baby squirrels. I'm glad that
someone with experience will get them.

The finder has done squirrels in the past but she has other animals and she realized the time they consume and she wasn't really up to it. I am glad a friend of a friend knew to contact me so we could find someone to help.

I am sorry that the guy I thought could possibly help couldn't. He said with them being so small and the type of constant care they need he just couldn't provide it even though he really wanted to but he thought it best for the 4 lil ones to not try to and possibly end up not providing the best possible care for them :sorry:sorry

Im in north MS and have experience with them if you still need someone. I dont have a whole lot of them right now so if you still need someone. We can work it out.

Yes, we still need someone. I have 8 right now, 3 pinkies (two with head trauma), 2 four week old, and three 6 weeks old so my hands are full! I will PM you the girl's number. She lives near Bolton, MS.

Totally understandable. We may have someone else who can get them and I also sent her a list of rehabbers in MS so if that doesn't work out she might have some other leads. At least she has done squirrels in the past so they should be fine until she can pass them on to someone (hopefully soon).

The finder placed them with a vet tech yesterday. Yay!!!
