I have a 3.5 week old squirrel that is 55g. I have had him since he was about a day old. He has always been a weak eater, but the last week he has really picked up the game! However, that has suddenly all changed. :eek I noticed some pink on the nipple this morning (along with a cage mate of his that is eating just fine). It looks like they are teething. That feeding and the one after he ate just like normal, but then his appetite plummeted! I can get 1 cc in him if I almost force it down his throat, but that is as far as he will tolerate it. He usually eats about 3-3.5cc. This has been going on the whole day long. I am worried. He doesn't seem to be dehydrated, yet, but he will if he doesn't start eating better.
Should I give him some Metacam? Teething gel? Just wait it out?
More info.....no change in diet and pee and poo look normal.
