Charley is obsessed with my mirrors on the walls. She continually runs back and forth on the head of my bed to the point where she's winded taking only 10 second breaks every now and then. I've tryed everything to distract her. Mirrors cannot be removed they are part of the house.
2nd I've been considering of adopting another squirrel so that Charlotte can have a play mate. Charlotte is approx 18 months old would she take in a new squirrel or would she be territorial?? I don't have a clue as to where I could adopt a squirrel. Charley was rescued from crows wanting to have her for breakfast!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you
Liz

Hi Liz and Charley...first, my squirrel Baby, was obsessed with mirrors. We let her run loose in our bedroom in the beginning. We ended up covering the mirrors with sheets and blankets. That worked and over time we took them down and she did not pay attention to them :dono I don't know why it didn't matter months later ...but she's fine with them now..of course I don't hold her up to them, but she doesn't pay attention to them.

Secondly, I personally believe she's too old to introduce another squirrel. She's a grey squirrel, correct? They are loners in the wild, except maybe for their siblings, they do not have friends. I know there are instances where people have been able to keep squirrels "together" but they are rare. And, if you acquire a new squirrel and it doesn't work out, then you have two squirrels you have to entertain at different times:eek I'd stick with the one...buy her some stuffies....and play with her alot. You are her "friend/companion" :Love_Icon

Thank you for your advice on adopting another squirrel I was thinking along the same lines. I have a feeling Charlotte wouldn't do well with another squirrel she's too use to be the queen of the house! Lol
