View Full Version : Need Help!!
Hi. We built a fence and cut down a tree limb and out fell 4 infant squirrels. I don't know how old they are. But their eyes are closed. I have been keeping them warm with hot water bottles wrapped in towels until I can get to the store. I found them when I got home from work so I'm not sure when they fell out. They guys doing the fence said around 3pm. Can anyone help on what I should do?

Maia, where in New York are you?
If you can keep the babies warm and place them out as close to where the nest was as possible, their mom may return to get them. It CAN happen! But don't let them get cold - that is key, because she won't touch them if they're not warm.
Okay should I leave them out there even if it's raining? And I live on the border of Deerpark and Dix Hills.

Maia, if you're on Long Island here is a wonderful place to take them -- I would go this morning....

Ask for Lauren. She is also a member here but so busy this time of year she may not see it on TSB, so give them a call.

Warmth and hydration are key. There is much info on here that you should try to read. And some pros should be here soon to help you. Thanks for watching out for these babies. If you can get a few pics and post them on here that will help alot. And there weights are important also. Good luck n god bless.
