A pinky's tail...

I have one pinky that has a reddened area towards the end of her tail. I am not sure what to do, if anything with it. It is not swollen at all, just red.

Should I be concerned and act on it? Or is it something that I should just keep an eye on?

After loosing the first one, I was a little worried. But, the other 3 seem to be thriving (I think......). :grin3 Here is a cute picture I got yesterday of them. :Love_Icon And yes, I found them like that, I didn't pose them. lol

I'd just make sure it's clean, maybe with some dilute betadine, and apply some triple antibiotic to it if it's raw.

It has turned black and I am guessing it will fall off. :(

That happened with Rose. It did, indeed, turn black and fall off, but she had no issues, just a shorter tail.

How would I tell if the infection spreads? Just some tissue changes that creep up toward her body? So far, it has just shriveled and turned black. Nothing that I can tell going up the tail. It is a little white just proximal to the black part, but that is to be expected, I think.
