I'm sure someone will PM you...but you could put a tiny amount of molasses, karo syrup on a q-tip and dab in the mouth :thumbsup that might perk her up if her blood sugar levels are low...:dono
Be ready with approx. or actual weight ...what she's had to eat in last few days:thumbsup Try and stay calm so she doesn't pick up on your energy:Love_Icon

Yes, please get some sugar into him. You can even mix table sugar into a paste with a drop or two of water and wipe a blob of it into his mouth. He does not have to swallow this - the mucous membranes in the mouth will absorb the sugar if he doesn't. Keep him in a nice, quiet place without a lot of stimuli.

Just got off phone with Lisa. Giving sugar water. She is alert. In a different cage with heat and food.
They eat kale, bok choy, mushrooms, asparagus, zuchinni, hhb. 1 but a day yogurt and fruit. And much more all that's on the safe food list.

She is resting. Can not pick her up or hold her, got attacked already. No wounds and her brothers are fine and peppy in their cage. What else could go wrong. The past 24 hours are really breaking me down. Lost 4 pinkies yesterday and now she has a seizure.

Is the attacking behavior related to the seizure or did she do this before?
When is the last time she ate - that you know for sure she ate - saw it with your own eyes? They can get this way from low blood sugar which is usually from not eating.

No attacking is normal. She ate this morning. 1 hhb then regular veggie variety.

Did this happen in front of you, or did you come in and find her that way? I am wondering if you saw or heard anything that could have been a trigger.

I was giving them their nut for the day, while I cleaned the cage after lunch they were climbing around the cage then she just fell backwards and went ridged. I grabbed her immediately wrapped her in fleece not tight, and when the seizure was over I wiped her down with a cool'cloth because she was on fire. Right know she is in a different cage with fleece water food. I gave her 9cc of sugar water all she would take. She ate a hhb dipped in calcium and I have yogurt with calcium in the cage as well. I also have a heating pad under half the cage because I am sure her muscles hurt.

Do you know her history?
Did she fall from the tree before you got her?
With a lot of head trauma babies, they can develop seizures
either right away, or down the road. :shakehead
Is there anything new in her cage, or anything made out of pvc that
she chews on, any new toys?

My Rex has seizures often. He is a very obvious neuro and I think this is why he was dropped out of the nest. There isn't much you can do other than be ready with the molasses. Rex has had many dozens in the almost 3 years I have had him. There isn't much I can do about it, other than comfort him when they happen.

What about a bit of banana or orange. I like giving orange because they get liquids sugar and something on the belly. Banana is good for the sugar and a full belly.

Has anyone tried using phenobarbital medication for on-going life lasting neurological seizing? I use it on dogs with these conditions. After ruling out that its not a one time seizure due to something else.
A small dose of valium would help control the attack happening at the given moment if the seizures are being repetitive at the time, being administered rectally. I'm not an expert on medications for squirrels but this all works for canines and felines.

If the plan is to release, make sure the seizure IS a one time thing (Sorry if this is a repeat. I'm out of town and not able to read thoroughly.)
