I hope someone can help us. Im new to this, just happen to find it looking for some help.
My sons dog got a baby grey squirrel and he got it from her but its front leg is hurt. Its swollen and he, i think he, cant move it and it just kinda dangles. He cant use it at all. The swelling doesnt look like its gone down at all since ive had him. I didnt want to leave him injured because i didnt know if he could take care of himself with a hurt leg. I think hes about 8-10 weeks old. Can u give them antibiotics to help swelling. Not sure what to do never had a squirrel before.

He will need to see a vet..... are you in a squirrel friendly state? Please take him inside and place him in a crate on a heating pad set on low with a fleece blanket, t-shirt or t-shirt like material over the heating pad to keep him warm. You can offer him some water in a bowl along with a few pieces of chopped up mushroom, walnut, and peeled apples for the night. If you can get a weight on him we can dose some Infant Motrin to help with the pain and swelling he has to be suffering with until you can take him to the vet in the morning. (please keep him as still as possible for the night)

No not a squirrel friendly place. I took him to the vet yesterday when i took my dog. The one I saw said they are considered rodents and didnt seem to interested in helping me. I guess in oregon u r not suppose to keep them not sure about helping them. I will try to weigh him. Hes eating really good.

OK - 5 ounces would put him at 142 grams which would be = Infant Motrin .030cc
..... which can be given every 4 hours.
