Hello everyone! My name is Gabriela. I'm very excited to join this board :grin2 I have yet to be a squirrel owner but after months and months of research I've been looking forward to adopting a Southern Flying Squirrel. I joined this board to read about everyone's advice and experiences:crazy Looking for a breeder has been difficult!!! :tap:tap:tap:tap:tap:tap If any of you know of any breeders in FL or any where else PLEASE let me know! My excitement for adopting one of these babies has turned into obsession!

Glad to have you! There is lots and lots of valuable information here, to help keep your squirrel,(when you get one), healthy and happy.
You must understand and follow the diet outline closely. That is the key to a healthy squirrel.
Their dietary needs are very expensive, but it is worth it to have happy and healthy squirrels.
Good luck, and can't wait to see pictures of your little guy, when you get one.

I am here in Orange Park, FL, just outside of Jacksonville. Just saw your post. Not the right time of year for baby flyers (some flyers here in FL don't appear to know that!). Keep checking back, see what we can do to get you a baby or two :grin. In the meantime. read all the information we have here on the board. Get familiar with the diet requirements and the importance of protein, etc.
I'll have my eyes and ears open for you.
