The dogs brought in a small wild bunnie, and one of his back feet is literally hanging off. I can see the bone. I want to give him something for pain.
Does anyone know if I can use ibuprofen?
That would be the easiest for me, but I also have tramadol 50 mg and meloxicam 7.5mgs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Metacam would be your best bet. Not that I wanna see sufferage, but a pic would help. xoxoxo

I know ehat happened to his foot. They bush hogged the property nect to me yesterday, and I'm guessing they got his poor little foot.

I gave her some tramadol, and she seems to be resting comfortably.

The back foot is facing backwards.
I have given tramadol and pedalite this morning, and have placed moistened spring mix with her.
Does anyone have any suggestions? This bunny has an unbelievable will to live. This injury happened on Friday, and my dog brought her in Saturday and she is still very bright eyed.
I am amazed, but don't know what more I should do for her.

I would contact squirrelsrule or loopy as they are both very knowledgeable about vet care.

Sadly, but thankfully, little Sheila passed away. I say thankfully because wild bunnies just do not survive in captivity. I was amazed that she remained alive this long, and was wondering how I was going to convince my vet to amputate the foot. I continued to give her tramadol throughout the day, and she appeared to be comfortable.
Godspeed little one.:grouphug:Love_Icon:grouphug:Love_Icon:grouphu g:Love_Icon

czarina, I'm so sorry about this horrible injury that Sheila sustained and about her passing. So so sad! I do understand that passing can sometimes be a blessing, even though a heartbreaking one. Thanks so much for caring for her and relieving her suffering in her last hours on this earth. :grouphug

Sheila, you were loved ... Rest in Peace sweet baby! :sad
