Prednizone course

Questions regarding prednizone treatment:

1. Do we give ONE dose per day?
2. Or do you split that one dose in two and thus give Prednizone twice a day?
3. How many days?
4. Do we wean him or do we stop prednizone treatment cold turkey?

The only thing I can offer about the use of prednizone is it should not be stopped abruptly.
The dose needs to be tapered off over several days (to weeks depending on course)
to allow the body to start making its own cortisol again.

The dose and duration would have to depend on what one is treating and/or
aiming to accomplish.

I know (have read) of other's but the one that comes to mind at the
moment is SSM (Sweet Simon's Mommy) having one of her babies on
a course. If I'm not mistaken...
Maybe if you speak with her she can help direct you...
