Kiwano melon?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone here feed kiwano melon (horned melon)? I got some today and was just wondering if it is safe as a treat.

Those melons have a lot of seeds in it --I would be concerned about that
as fruit seeds are dangerous, even deadly at times to small animals.

What I was reading about these is that it's a common food for animals (including rodents) where the fruit is native. The ornate version of this melon, however, IS toxic but the commercial melon is supposed to not have the toxic compounds. So you still think no? Not even in moderation?
