You cannot give the Metacam and pred together. You can give tramadol and Metacam together.
Metacam will help reduce swelling and relieve pain.
I can dose either.
Do you have Tramadol? You can use Tramadol, a pain reliever and Metacam together.

Do you have TWO 5 mg of Prednisone?
As I said you cannot give this with Metacam.
This will take me a minute after your response to write it up.

I'm so sorry I had an urgent phone call.
Not sure yet on the combination, do you know Uni?
Perhaps she will know for sure.
You can start the prednisone.
You just may not be able to give a pain reliever.

I have only two more day of predasone and still have no movement in the back feet:tap. Rocky continues to pee on himself. Any ideas for a diaper of sorts?

Crud! Now I am second guessing myself. I believe Tramadol and Prednesone can be used together. It is Metacam and Prednesone that can't be mixed, but someone please confirm this.
Edit - Thank you Gayle. I hate when the brain locks up!!

If you can find a "Diaper" that he doesn't chew off, let me know. Anything I put on any of my babies, gets chewed off in 30 seconds. :eek
