Baby blocks

So.. my babies are super healthy, gaining daily, still on formula. Got the FV, mixing a bit in with the Esbilac day by day. I also ordered the growth blocks at the same time. Offered one yesterday and they both went WILD for it.. When I looked though, it seems they are using them for "teething" more than anything else; just chipping them up into crumbs. Should I not offer them until they are off formula? I don't want them to see them as "chew toys". Clearly they like the smell/taste.. I'm hoping they will come to see them more as food.. Any advice?

Nope, this is exactly how they learn to love their blocks. Don't give anything but them and the formula until they are eating them well, and they will be heathy eaters always!

At the teething stage, some people use a cheaper block, like Kaytee Forti-Diet until they're actually eating them rather than just destroying them.

Thanks. I've been throwing the crumbs out for the rabbits so as not to let them sit in their cage.. So, If I continue to offer nothing else until they are ready for solids, they should begin eating them? Should I take them away for now since they are just destroying them? Do their own systems "know" that they aren't ready for solids yet?
At least we have established that they more than like them!

This Kaytee forti diet. I cant find it. I have found all kinds and even one for rats but it is not a block. Where do I find these blocks.

I keep seeing them refer to the blue bag, and boy, is that blue! I make my own blocks and I've never used this, so if I'm wrong, someone please correct me! :Love_Icon

That's it, the one for rats. I think I've even seen it in Walmart. Very common.
