Can you please take a look at Nuts' belly. After Columbus' passing, I just wanna make sure that Nuts is doing alright.
This is her belly after 2.6cc of FV/Esbilac formula (she weighs 49g today, up from 32 last week :grin2). Is it just a normal full baby belly, or is this bloating (her belly does not feel hard)? She peed before the feeding just now, not after, but pooped like a champ (golden-mustard).
Also, every 4 hours when I take her out to eat, she is so overly excited and can't wait. Almost going crazy when she has to wait 5 seconds. Normal?

It is possible for that to be normal, the way it feels is like a partially filled water ballon. Not hard. Is it hard or softer?

It's definitely not hard. When she is all curled up, it looks like that she has "milk side handles". Those feel very soft. Milkline is always gone after a 4 hour break.

Very normal. This is when they can easily aspirate by sucking so hard.
What size syringe are you using, and are you using a nipple?
Nuts is adorable! :Love_Icon

I'm using a 1cc syringe and a miracle nipple attachment. But she sure sucks hard on it. She definitely thinks I'm too slow.

She looks normal and of course, adorable. One note. Use the 1cc syringe until she opens her eyes and then you can go to a 3cc syringe. When you make the transition though, make sure not to let her suck too fast or it will come out her nose and that is when asperiation is possible. What a sweetie! :Love_Icon:Love_Icon

Wonderful, thanks. I have the 3cc syringe ready to go for when she opens up her eyes (can't wait).
What type of cage should she be in once she opens her eyes?

What is she in now?
This is an excellent first cage.
It's chew proof, and a great size, and the
price is good too!
