Is it okay to use Metacam and tramadol at the same time for pain?

Yes according to WMB, Tramadol can be used in combination with Metacam. The two medications work synergistically to give effective pain relief.
Just a reminder NEVER use Ultracet as it contains acetaminophen in addition to Tramadol and is not safe.
