Not sure what to do. Kazee has become very very aggressive. Nothing has changed, but he is now lunging violently if i go near him and yesterday he lunged so hard he knocked the door off his cage and almost fell out. He is still eating great ( 3 squirrel blocks in the morning, veggies and fruit afternoon and snack in evening). He can't see, which has always been the case, and his balance has become worse. He lays down to eat since he can't sit up and he just sleeps. I'm at a loss as to what to do. The vet said that because of his brain injury he lost his eye sight and she thinks that may be causing his behavior change. I feel like he is so unhappy and I want to do the right thing for him. Please if anyone has suggestions. He use to be so cuddly and lovey. He's about a yr old

It is breeding season, he is feeling his hormones. It may pass, it usually does. If he was outside, he would be chasing females right now. Males get quite aggressive during mating season. Just be very careful. Talk to him softly but for now I would not allow out of cage time. He should settle soon. OR he may truly be wilding up, many do. Are you planning on releasing him?

No he's not releasable being blind and so unstable from head injury.

They can get very moody over night, raging hormones no matter what their other issues may be, Don't let him hear or smell the out side AT ALL!!!
No out of cage time for right now, safer for him and for you........
He should calm down in in a week or two, them even more in another 6 to 8 months.
Give him a change, you have gotten this far, he is a teenager now and we all know how they are....

Lol. Ahh yes teenagers. I moved him to a quieter spot. Crossing my fingers this phase passes quick. Lol. Will they do this every spring? Just like kids, I keep telling him I love him though. Haha. Thx for all the help.

Not only every spring, but also during the fall. Luckily it only lasts for a couple weeks to a month or so.

Also make sure that he's not protecting a stash. Changes is anything from detergent to deodorant can also cause issues.
