So I'll start off by telling my story! It came a bad storm about a week ago. I heard an unfamiliar loud crying noise coming from outside, as I looked out I could see my cat had something in her mouth! I immediately went out to see what it was and there he lay, a baby squirrel! I'm guessing he had been blown from his nest by the strong winds we had then my cat found him. I took him in not having a clue what I was going to do but by the grace of God, he is still here with me a week later. I started him on pedialyte immediately and the next day after he was hydrated again, I called my local vet. She said she has raised many squirrels and that I needed to purchase Kitten Milk Replacement formula and start feeding him every 2 hours. He has fur and peach fuzz on his tail. His eyes aren't open but he seems to be trying to open them today (I think) . But anyways I am now giving him 2cc of 1 part kitten formula 3 parts water every 3 hours. I weighed him yesterday and he weighed 69 grams. If I'm not doing the right thing please let me know and tell me how to fix it. Also he was bitten by the cat but the vet said he is too young to be given antibiotics. So I have been flushing it with diluted betadine (spell check) and coating it with neosporin several times daily. It is producing an odor but it seems to be a little better today. He eats fine. Urine looks fine but smells. Pooh is sometimes dark and then sometimes a greenish tint. He is my pride and joy. I will do whatever I have to do to save this little guy. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I am only 18 years old and full time college student so I am very overwhelmed and feel like I'm not doing it all right! I have no experience with squirrels. Actually never even held one!! Now I am attached. Feel like I have a newborn baby :)******
