Is it true that squirrels bleed while in heat? If this is in fact true, how much do they bleed and for how long. I just want to make sure im prepared.

:wave123 Liz and Charlotte :grin3 I have a squirrel who is close to 3 yrs old and I've never seen any bleeding....I have seen her urine tinged brownish red :dono I'm assuming that could have been from that...but I've never really noticed anything unusual...definitely no bleeding:dono Hope that helps...:grin3

I have had females in heat and have never observed blood,
that's not saying it don't exist. I would imagine she would keep
her self cleaned much like a cat does when in heat.
She swells down there and gets cranky for a day...or so.
Depending on the squirrel it can be an experence... :rotfl
