We took her an animal hospital i contacted. The doctor that treated her was very firmiliar with squirrels, she was a rehabber for a while....long long story short minnie was hypoglysemic (spelling?). I told her how we took spike to a regular vet and the doctor told us he didnt know what was wrong with him yada yada yada and she said that the doctor didnt know what he was talking about and she was VERY glad we brought her in. She said she looked good but her blood sugar was low. She said i had done really well she said she has seen rehabbers try to save 2 week old squirrels (thats how old the minnie and spike were when we got them) and she said a lot of them lose the squirrels. She was very pleased with my knoldege and said she wouldnt take her away from me. She injected her and gave me some Dextrose and told me to keep her on Esbliac and to do her night feedings which i cut out last week which was probley what caused it.

ANYWAYS WE SAVED HER! She is already looking WAY better.

Tears in my eyes. That's so good to hear! :smilecolors Does being hypoglycemic mean that Minnie will need human care for the rest of her life?

I'm just catching up from yesterday and reading your posts about Minnie. I'm so glad you were able to find someone to help with her and that she's doing better!! And I'm so very sorry to hear about Spike. Even knowing he was doing so poorly, I still hoped he would turn around, somehow, but I guess that was not to be. That's so heartbreaking.

I hope you continue to have good news now. Keep us posted! :grouphug
