Sweet Simon's Mommy

I have been think about this a lot lately
We all help each other here on the board and what one can do another may be able to do it better.
I can feed little babies all night, but can not release. Some cant get up ever 2 or 3 hours.
I can have a cage bound little guy who needs time and care, not a full fledged squirrel who needs a house to run around in.
I used to think , if I took in this squirrel , it is up to me to keep and deal with it whatever happens.
But then I learned there are situations that I am unable to control and all situations are not the best for every squirrel, nor every person.
Some that I have loved with all my heart have moved to a home where they are better suited.
Pearl went to Jackie house, she loves it there and can be at a vet in a moments notice, she loves being around all the other squirrels, no I didn't want her to go, I just knew it was a good place for her.
Peaches went to the Quagmires, she doesn't like other squirrels, she is the QUEEN. They only wanted one squirrel, perfect for Peaches. I had her since she was 2 weeks old. She will be 3 Feb 1st.
Finnegan was a little lover I rescued from a fish tank at 5 months old, he went to Dj TWICE, at first we didn't think we could release him but after a few more months she tried again and he is happy in the trees.
Vinny , I bought on Craigs list at 12 weeks, very small , tiny skinny , I absolutely loved this boy, play play play, that's all he wants to do. He went to Gina who is working on strengthening him for release and he is doing GREAT!!! She can not put another squirrel with him , because he plays with them to death, they just run away from him.
Lovingly passing a squirrel from one Mommy to the next is a good thing when it is for the squirrels best interest. If any of your babies ever need the kind of help beyond your expertise or capability, never hesitate to ask for help , there is ALWAYS another Mommy or Daddy on here willing to take on that baby.
You are not giving up!!
You have not failed!!
You will not be looked down upon as someone who just gave away that baby!!!
You are giving that baby another chance for someone else to love it and care for it.
We can't all do everything.
Just my opinion.
