Sore twisted foot

I feed a squirrel who has not been able to put weight on his back foot for months. Is there anything more that I can do for it?

Thank you for caring about him, Kathleen. Unfortunately, if he has been this way for months it's probably a break that healed badly. There isn't much you can do, since he is a wild squirrel. Capturing him to treat him would cause him far more stress than his bad foot causes him. So long as you see him able to eat and drink and run from a predator, I would let him be and keep giving him goodies and access to fresh water. Finding a vet who would even treat a squirrel is very difficult, and if the leg was put in a cast you'd have to keep him from chewing the cast off. Good luck with that. :grin
