Good Morning everyone this is Liz and Charley. I am concerned once again because Charley's gotten very chunky. It seems to have happened overnite. Last time I posted on the squirrel board she had gotten very possessive about hiding her food and not letting me clean out her cage. A friend told me that she was more than likely preparing for the winter. Little did I know that she'd become a Hoarder!! She seems very happy other than not being as agile as she use to be. Please don't fall over backwards when you see the pictures. 218428218429218430218431218432

If she is getting a good diet (both in terms of quality and quantity) and exercise then perhaps a thyroid condition?
If not, I would focus of diet and exercise first!
She is a cutie, a big giant cutie! :grin

I fell over from cuteness, not because she's so fat! She is tending towards fat though. What does she eat every day? They do put on weight in the winter though.

OH MAH GAW. That first pic is WAY TOO KAYOOT! :Love_Icon :hyper She looks like Winnie the Pooh. So, so adorabear.
Why o why do you keep Charley all to yourself! Post more pics of her! :poke
Tell us exactly what she eats daily. You might just have to cut down on some treats for a while. :dono
Ahhhhh yes, Charley is a tad portly, but in a precious cute way. As you know we here are all about diet. Just want what is best for Charley today and everyday. Do tell us about what's on the dinner plate.
And more pictures-I almost fainted looking at the adorable squirrel-especially that face, a to sweet for mire words to express! :Love_Icon:Love_Icon:Love_Icon

That is one Foxy lady! I don't think she is overly fat, but just putting on her winter weight. Rex did the same a month ago, but appears to be doing fine with the extra padding and still does all of his squirrel activities pretty much the way he always does.:Love_Icon:Love_Icon
The biggest thing to watch for though, is excessive drinking, as this would signify diabetes (and that would be the result of the extra weight, not the cause of the weight gain). Make sure she still exercises and has the same level of energy (I know, winter tends to slow them down a bit) and ensure her diet is maintained. :thumbsup
I know everyone has asked this, but what is her diet? :poke This would help everyone to assess her eating habits vs the weight gain. :grin3

Omg thanks to all of you who replied Charlie was ecstatic to read Ur replies. I will definitely post her diet but right now shes in her 3 level outdoor cage getting exercise and i have to take advantage and wash her bedding and clean out her indoor cage. Id like to post some short videos that i think you guys would get a kick out of can anyone tell me how to do that and also how can i reduce the size of the pictures that i post.
Many thanks Liz

Charley is beautiful just the way she is lol (although if squirrels can become diabetic due to overweight that will be a concern)!!! :rotfl:rofl4:rotfl
