Please help Chip

I am trying to get help for Chip ,but I am unable to find how to make a new thread????

I came home yesterday and found that Chips back left leg is hanging and she is not using it.

Do you know of any meds I can give her specifically for pain and how I dose her?

Also, can you please tell me how to start a new thread?

Is Chip an inside squirrel? How old is Chip?

What is his diet?


Infant Ibuprofen is good for pain, but we will need to know exactly how much Chip weighs if possible.

Can you take him to the vet? Ultram and Metacam are drugs that could help Chip, but they need a vet to prescribe them.

Thanks CSL for starting this thread for her. Here is what I told her in my PM.

"INFANT Ibuprofen is safe to give for pain but I am not sure on dosing. We would need her weight to figure that. Also hook her heating pad back up to that she can use it. It helps when they are hurting.

We would also need to know her age, diet and any other symptoms or signs even those you may not think are significant. Examine her for any injuries if you can. Look for scratches."

From her previous thread I don't think she has a scale to weigh Chip. I am not sure of location so I don't know if she has vet access.
