Follow Up Concern........
I have started the medicine (Amoxi) on this 15 gram little SFS and she just completed her round of pedialyte 0.05 every 2 hours.
I'v had her officially for 24 hours now and she appears to shake as she moves about and her 1st poop was a bright green color,
no smell...... she will be starting FV (3:1) mixture at her next feeding tonight.
Does any one think her new behavior of having the shakes and the green poop is of much concern? --meaning should I be doing any
thing different than I already am, or should I just it give time with her being on a heating pad, medicine, fox valley w/ yogurt and extra
water hydrating in between her normal feedings, as her pinch test is still not where I would like it to be?

Are you giving probiotics? It's very important when on antibiotics.
You know I know nothing about flyers.....so I wouldn't know if the shakes when
moving are normal.
I can tell you with little reds, they do shake when they first start
walking around, almost like they are too weak to walk.
So not sure if that's what you are referring to or not.
Hopefully someone with flyer knowledge will be on soon. :grouphug

Mine shook oddly when they were that small and they also had green poop to start. I think you'll be ok, just keep an eye on it. Mrs. Skul gave me a formula recipe.
2 tablespoons of FV 32/40 formula
2 tablespoons of heavy cream (only 1 tablespoon to start to be easy on the tummy)
4 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon of yogurt (full fat)
But you may VERY WELL want to start out on the Goat's Milk formula. I did and I'm NOT disappointed that I did. It's easier on their tummies. I know Mrs Skul was pleased that I had started them on it also...

Do you have Mrs. Skul's number to give her a call?
Jackie in Tampa also has good med dosing info if still needed.

For tonight it will have to be the FV, as my husband is out of town, therefore, I am home alone until my son stops by tomorrow at 6 pm.

:thankyou :Love_IconOMG!! I just realized I meant the PEDIALYTE part to say 0.5 (half of 1 cc) and not 0.05 --every 2 hours. :eek

Sadly... the little one did not make it through the night, I did my best, but I am not sure if the shaking was
natural or due to her being cat caught and not getting to me sooner than she did for medicine.
R.I.P. Sweet Chasity .... You were loved while I had you. :Love_Icon :Love_Icon

I am so sorry to hear this.
You helped her to pass.
Sometimes that is what we are
called to do.
You did your job well. :Love_Icon
