I have given him the blocks since he has seemed to partially ween himself off of his milk. Hes not drinking as much milk as he had before. But its hard to get him to eat the blocks. I cut them smaller and feed them to him while he is snuggling with me to get him used to the taste and texture. I don't think he likes them. I don't want him to go hungry and I worry. I did take some of the formula and made some goo balls with them and he really likes them but at the same time hes not getting any water. Is it ok to give him a water bottle at this point to ensure he gets enough fluids? Ive put the blocks in his cage to let him eat at his leisure but they go stale and hard before he eats them. Whats the trick to get my guy to eat them?:eek

Give him nothing except blocks besides formula. We call it "tough love" and it is the way to go. He will NOT starve himself. It is much harder on you than it is on him.

ABSOLUTELY put a water bottle in his cage, ASAP. As they wean themselves off formula they must replace the liquid in the formula with water, or they will become dehydrated.
