Remy in heat?!?

I'm fairly sure that she's in heat, but everything I have read says that they get snarky and she's been super, duper sweet. All she wants is for Mommy to hold her (which is FINE by Mommy). Her toot is swollen and there is some slightly mucousy brownish stuff (assuming bleeding) around it and she's kind of hunching over and trying to drag her toot. The only things she's doing different: She's been digging in her cube incessantly, and she's been super loving. Already heading back to the Vet with Shay this morning, should Remy go with me? Should I be worried about UTI or is this heat? I would say heat, but this is not something I've seen or done before so I want to be sure. :thankyou

Isn't it a little late in the season for heat? I suspect that you've already left for the vet and have taken her. :)

Squirrels down here breed almost year round. It could be heat. But who knows? Hoping she's ok!

I didn't go this morning. I truthfully fell asleep, but when she called me about the job I asked and I spoke with Jackie via email. They both think heat and Dr wanted me to hold off until Monday with Shay to give the ABs some time to work. Thanks guys!

:nono Auntie j, don't even think such things!!!! :nono :shakehead They do play together but mostly you hear Remy squeaking and pitching a brat fit b/c War is in with her squishies and blankies. The past couple of days she has been a "mommy hold me" girl even more than usual! There has been no hanky panky for sure!!! But thanks for the attempted jinx ;) lol
