Ive noticed my little guy has been itching a lot lately. Mostly on his face and areas of his tummy. Im sure he has a flea or maybe something else. I washed his fur on his face really good, as best as I could. And put a very thin layer of baby oil gel to hopefully help the dryness on his face. It almost looks as if some hair is gone. My husband thinks Im crazy. Can I use anything to combat this itching for him? I hate to see him itch :(

What did you wash him with? A dilute solution of Dawn dish soap usually gets rid of fleas (wash from the face down). If you think he might have mites, a drop of kitten Revolution between she shoulders would get rid of it.

Is he scratching all the time?

Hes not itching all the time but frequently he does. I havent washed him with anything yet. My vet did tell me about the dawn for my kitten but I figured his skin was way too sensitive for something like that. How can you tell if he has mites? I will give him a bath tonight in the Dawn. Hope he likes it! LOL

You can try washing him once with the Dawn dish soap to see if its fleas, but do keep in mind that squirrels like to scratch often --its normal.

Maybe I should take a video of him scratching. I dont know how often is normal and what is not. Im overly protective of my little guy obviously :) Maybe its just me. Please be patient with me! Im learning and you all have really taught me so much already! Me and my little guy thank you for all your advice! Hes definately one happy squirrel! And I have all of you to thank for it!
