I just wanted to sing the praises of these nipples! http://www.henryspets.com/silicone-mothering-nipples/
I have gotten these for my finicky fussy eater guy and WOW! what a difference! He would get the milk all over his jaws and paws and it was so much harder to feed him. Now I can just show him the nipple and he litterally walks up to it and feeds so much easier now! If you have a fussy, messy eater like I had you should really get these! Its worth the money!
You can see my avatar and how he holds on to the syringe with that nipple.
Godsend! I love them :)

When feeding a squirrel please do so in an upright position, with the syringe lower than the squirrels mouth, so you are shooting it up towards the roof of his mouth. :thumbsup

Please don't point the nipple down his throat - it is so easy to aspirate them that way. You want to hold the syringe so the nipple is pointing up toward the roof of the mouth with his head tipped down instead of up.
Mama squirrel lies on her back to nurse and the nipples point straight up. Baby gets his head above them, mouth down, to suckle. Do the same thing with your syringe and anything that might go down wrong won't because gravity will take it out of the mouth rather than down the throat.:thumbsup

I havent had any issues with him feeding this way.. Thank God but noted. He will be greedy and try to suck it all down himself and I have to keep hold of the plunger for him to not inhale it. Litterally! I will try the knee trick Ive read on here see if that works normally I do hold him in my hand and the nipple is at an angle. Its just been so much easier to feed him this way. I will make sure its at an angle from here on out! Thanks for your input! We appreciate it!
