I just recently rescued a baby squirrel a few days ago that is about 4 weeks old. Eyes not yet open. I have ordered Fox Valley Day One, but I am using the Goat's Milk Formula posted on here until it comes. I have it mixed up but I have yet to see anywhere or anyone post how much to use?? I have only been giving him Pedialyte for the past 2 days because he was very dehydrated.

Thanks.

How much does he weigh? You feed 5 -7% of their body weight. If he weighs 100g you would feed 5 - 7cc per feeding. Feed every 3 - 4 hours.

Okay, thank you very much.

Should I continue with the Pedialyte, ease off it, or stop right away?

Do you have the GM formula ready now? If you do, please start that now. He needs some nutrition.:thumbsup:Love_Icon

Gave him some formula last night and man did he want it! I've never seen him eat so well!!! This morning was his 3rd dose of the formula. Should I be giving him Pedialyte in addition? Sorry this is just my first time raising a baby squirrel!

Stop the Pedialyte, it is used for just 24 hours. After 24 hours Pedialyte has the reverse action and will start to dehydrate the squirrel. Just use formula from now on.

Right on, thank you. I figured I should stop with the Pedialyte, just wanted to make sure.

The Squirrel Board has helped me tremendously to find everything I need and need to know to take care of a baby squirrel!
