Squirrel in Chimney in Fireplace Since Yesterday -- NEED HELP!!

Hello,

I'm in Parkville MD and have a squirrel that has been active in our chimney since yesterday morning! I called several people to help and no one is responding.

We have a pre-fab fireplace and I have the flue open -- we have glass doors on it.

Is Stepnstone available?

Not hearing anything now for quite a while, cap/screening appears intact.
False alarm or most likely bird or squirrel walking around cap or chase pan
echoing down.
Pre-fab chimney in town home, straight down no seam flue.
If it were squirrel it would have fallen to top to bottom in fire box.
Pre-fab has no (ash) shelf, the only thing one could "possibly"
hang onto would be the damper but a twist on it would slide
them off.

Didn't even have to go...
Chris checked it out when he got home, understands a little more about
pre fab chimneys and could see straight up it.
Concern for squirrels is due to over growth on irresponsible adjoining
neighbor's roof that squirrels use for a through fare.
They will hold onto my number... :grin2
