new food better weight!

I'm happy to report that his weight is now 71 grams an he's eating much better with the FV food. I do have issues holding him still to eat. He's quite the wiggle worm! I've gotten a few tricks to kinda hold him still but if anyone has any hints? Feel free to suggest an easier way! I
The pics on the thread on size I'm showing him at 5 weeks. His eyes aren't opened yet.and its saying he should be at least 80+ Can I use rice cereal mixed it in his formula?

Grats on the weight gain and new food! As soon as I came here and learned about the FV, I immediately purchased it, and my babies have turned into little fatties!

My Little Miss is a squirmy worm too! I usually begin by rubbing her back and kissing her about, and she calms down after a bit, then I continue to rub her back with the hand that holds her, and she usually stays calm through the feeding just fine!

Maybe try that? Or possibly try wrapping your baby in a soft blanket, just leaving out his head, and feeding him that way? I have tried that once with her, but she didn't like being all covered up. Though I have seen many videos where they do that to some babies, and it seems to work for some!

We generally recommend not adding cereal to formula. I think the UltraBoost additive also made by FV is most recommended for thin squirrels.
