Got a radiograph at the vet. Says no breaks/fractures. I've had her over 24 hours. Pee/poo on her own. Will take formula and fluids via syringe. Will eat solids if I hold them for her, she cannot hold food on her own. Only lays on side and scoots around, will flip occasionally and gets antsy when she has to potty, like she doesn't want to potty on herself but can't help it. Has feeling and use of her back legs. Front legs/leg not so much it seems. I have her on prednisone per vet who says it may be a herniated disk.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any other input. Thanks!

I don't mess with her this much normally, only to feed. I was just trying to get a good video of how she acts.

I would absolutely go with the Prednisone....
I received your Pm about dosing, you were going to get back to me with a weight... never heard back.

guessing here... but I have seen similar upper limb injures several times.
Taking the inflammation away from the damaged/affected nerve is important.... when did you take in this sq?
If the steroid is going to help, you will see improvement in the first five days of treatment... sometimes these 5 days are enough, sometimes treatment is indef...
adding a wee amount of extra whey protein to his formula would be beneficial as well as yogurt.

What dose are you using? Sometimes low dosing is best if the condition warrants long term.
If you do need long term therapy, there is a taper down needed, not as critical/crucial as dex, yet it is important.
I hope your baby regains his upper arms.... bless his little heart... kisses from me and Sq C:Love_Icon

She weighs 165.
Dosing 0.07ml at 5mg/ml. 10mg pill diluted in 2ml water
I've had her since Wednesday night.
She was acting better last night. This morning she's not wanting to eat much. I'm giving her formula because she cannot hold solid food to eat, I have to hold it for her.
She did not want to take much formula this morning. But she's gained 3 grams since I've had her.
She's a young Juvenile, prob between 10 and 12 weeks old. Wild baby.

And sorry that PM before was about another wild adult male, hit by car, he didn't make it.

soory he didn't make it...
hmm, loss of appetite?...odd!
some say pred helps appetite...
I am tired and don't want to take the time to cross reference your dosing...what mg/kg did you dose the pred with?
oops, sorry I see the vet did the dose.... I apologize, never scrutinize a vet...
loss of appetite means something... check her bladder... any urine laying in there will create perfect environment for bad bacterias...
listen to her breathing...poor liitle girl... any other meds?
hoping you figure out how to keep her comfy cozy...

Thanks JIT!
I will keep an eye on her, she's eliminating on her own and I am changing her bedding. No other meds. Going to try to feed her again.

She passed away tonight, apparently in pain. There was white tears, I suppose I should have had her put down in the beginning. I just wanted to give her a chance. She probably had head trauma that was not obvious. After examining her I only noticed a small bruise above her genetalia.
She had use of her back legs but not front. She ate well the first day, and today quickly declined and died while I was at work. She was in my husband's care and was alive still at 10pm when he fed her last. She only took 2 cc of formula.
Thanks for your help, I wish I could have done something else to save her. At least she had several good feedings yesterday.
