I don't know, but he's cute! He almost looks like a ground squirrel of some sort, but probably isn't.

I was thinking BABY VOLE....... but that long tail threw my theory out the window, so maybe a rat.?

Yes, I'm willing to confidently say that he is a rat! Mine just opened his little peepers today to see mommy for the first time!!!

Yup, rat. And a wild one, too. See the difference in color, he has that wild coloring. Very cute!! Is this going to be a trend? Everyone going to raise baby rats this year???? :crazy
