My little girl Piggy has very very over grown teeth.... I dont know how I didnt notice sooner. I am willing to drive any where needed to get help for her. Piggy is a wild squirrel with neuro problems. She has been with me for about a year. After watching her fall from tree tops and get beat up daily from her yard buddys we knew we had to help her. Finally late one rainy stormy night we found her crossing the road where she fell in a puddle and laid there we knew that was the night we had to save her and we did justbthat. Piggy has been very happy and healthy until yesterday I noticed her holding her head back more than usual and could not believe how long her teeth were. I am desparately trying to find help for her ....either in my area or any where in the tristate area. The thought of her being in pain kills me , she is the sweetest little angel. write me here or def call me with any info 631-294-7477

Sorry I thought you were in western ny.
You can contact Dr. Pilny he is in Manhattan though.
We also have a member here who is from LI, let me direct him to your thread.

can you post a pic of her teeth?
sometimes giving them a pencil to chew helps...
and under a lamp if possible..

I just sent ReneeD two options to try; one in her area and, of course, the great Dr Pilny in NYC. I don't know of any rehabbers personally out there. The third option is to trim them herself, and you know I recommended YOU, Jackie! :bowdown

Thanks guys. Piggy is a very special girl to me, and I am so worried for her. I wish I were closer to help. I know Renee is worried, too. She got her to eat a little but she is def. having trouble, and not herself (her neuro symptoms are even showing more, very likely from the stress she feels.) Piggy 'may' also be diabetic, she is a very big girl. Some of you may remember a pic Renee had posted, before they got her, she was very overweight, with a belly that was just covered in urine scaled. That is actually how I got to know her, I didn't hear any updates, so after quite a while, I tracked her down, so to speak and have been in touch with her ever since (they even road out Sandy together).

I don't mean to intrude on this thread, but how do you go about trimming teeth yourself?

They make it look simple...Proper CUTTERS / Trimmers...are the key... NEW--QUALITY-- SHARP
A squirrel is larger, stronger, quicker than a chipmunk...Two people make it easier.
